This is an update to let you know that we are about to disable the unsecure ports on our servers. This will not affect you if you are using our Secure Email Settings as noted below.
Secure Settings
Server: host2.52601.com with password authentication and SSL (outgoing and incoming)
Incoming Port: 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP
Outgoing Port: 465
Examples of Insecure Settings
Server: mail.mydomain.com (where mydomain.com is your actual domain name)
Incoming Port: 143 for IMAP or 110 for POP
Outgoing Port: 25 (SMTP)
If you are using the old, insecure settings (like mail.yourdomain.com for example) you should update them to the above ASAP. This applies to email programs on every device you use for email (laptop, desktop, phone, tablet, etc).
If you are not sure which email settings you're using, open your email program, and view the properties including the server settings. If you need help finding out which settings you're using, please consult your IT professional, or call us at 860-683-4201.
The unencrypted settings will be disabled on September 29, 2023 at 5:00 pm EST.
