Webmail

Webmail allows you to send and receive email from any computer that has an internet connection and a web browser.

To access your webmail, go to https://host2.52601.com:2096/ or https://webmail.yourdomain.com/ (requires ssl. Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name).

Login with your email address and email password.

When you login to webmail you'll see two programs to choose from: Horde and Roundcube

All your mail will show up no matter what program you use. The only thing that won't is your contact list - you have to add your contacts to each if you want to us them all. Most people try them all out then settle down on one program, then add their contacts to that one.

First, click "Got It!" to acknowledge that you can alter your configuration at any time.

Then click one of the available programs.

Each webmail program has its pros and cons.

1. Horde is the most feature-packed program.

2. Roundcube displays html email best. You just have to click the "Display Images" link on an email to see the images.

Note - you don't have to use webmail at all. You can set up an email program (like Outlook) on your own computer and/or Smartphone to send and receive your email. See the Email section of this knowledge base.

Email Signature

Adding an email signature to the bottom of your email allows you to add additional information to your emails without having to manually type it in every time you send a new email. By creating a signature the information will be included automatically in every email and saves time since you will not have to re-type it.

To set up an email signature:

In Roundcube:
1. Click Settings in the upper right corner.
2. Click on the Identities tab.
3. Click your email address to bring up the Signature tab.
4. Type in your desired signature in the Signature box.
5. Click the Save button located underneath the tabs.

In Horde:
1. Click on "Options" in the upper menu bar.
2. Click on "Mail" at the top of the page
3. Then you will see the "Mail Options" screen and click on "Personal Information."
4. Type in your desired signature in the Signature box.
5. Click Save Options at the bottom of the page.

If you use an email program like Outlook, the settings would be under File > Accounts etc depending on the version you use.

Contacts

You can export your contacts out of webmail to use in a different program or an email marketing system.

  • In Horde, export your contacts by clicking on Address Book, then on Browse. Select some or all contacts, then click Export, located above. A csv file will download.

  • In Roundcube, you can only export vcf files to import into your computer address book.

You can share your address book with other email users on your domain.
